In 2006 Kristel Doest was first introduced to vj-ing through a workshop by Visual Sensations. At the end of 2007, she met VJ Supreme Cuisine. He thought her style fit SEEN: Visual Music a monthly club event in the Amsterdam based club Paradiso. Now she is their residence VJ. Ever since her career as VJ AINEKO has been blooming and is now, besides SEEN, performing at various clubs and festivals throughout the Netherlands and abroad.

In 2009 during VJ Fest in Istanbul, Turkey Kristel had a great time performing with VJ's LotteZ & Polly Pastis. They started a All Female VJ Collective called GEEKS on HEELS. They have performed at events like Rooms of Redbull, Zonde!, Lovedance on World AIDS Night in Paradiso. They closed the year 2009 at The Ball Masque MMX on 31 st of December at Paradiso.

In 2011 Kristel is coming with more interresting ways to entertain the audience.
She working with different DJ´s like Dance DJ Eva Maria and Classical DJ Rosenthal de laz Vegaz to offer a complete package of music and visuals. Kristel is expanding her work area. Besides the clubscene your can see her during concerts, bussiness events and fashion shows. She also started the VJ/performance group Girls Playground and under Aineko Productions she also books talented VJs for events.

VJ AINEKO's work didn't stayed unnoticed. In 2009 she got nominated for a Gouden Kabouter Award (Best VJ). In 2010 the GEEKS on HEELS got nominated for a Gouden Kabouter Award (Best new act). In 2011 both VJ AINEKO and GEEKS on HEELS were nominated and VJ AINEKO won the award for best VJ.
